The HD-DVD player add-on for the 360 has dropped $20 (US only dammit!) plus it added 5 free HD-DVDs, so what do this all mean? Well Amazon reports that sales went up 1000% (and it reads 200% today so it might even be double the 1k!), simple concept to understand though the cheaper electronics are the more people will buy.
Reports are flying that Gameplayer spoke with a representative from Activision Australia about Call of Duty 4’s beta will be US residents only, and the fanboys and going mad! The UK, Europe and us here in Canada will miss out. We expect Activision and Infinity Ward to confirm this anytime today, so stay tuned for an update
This is crazy awesome, the game wasn’t looking bad, fancy menues, good looking graphics, I’m still a little sketchy on the gameplay and controls though. Either way this video makes the game look great in everyway, it looks like a TV broadcast, they even got Sal Masekela to be the announcer! Release date on this pupppy is September 12th, gonna get busy soon.
Yes we are a Canadian blog after all, and we must post any hockey related news we possibly can! So here it is EA looks to be making great progress on a already great series, which last year vastly changed the way hockey games were played. Be sure to stay tuned right here for more news leading up to it’s September 11th release.
Whilst this wasn’t a problem for our dev team, it was a problem fitting all this data onto a single DVD. So we’ve worked around the problem by providing different lighting models per city.
And now they’ve changed they’re story:
DVD size is absolutely not a factor that we consider when designing our games… and PGR4 is no exception. DVD9 gives us more than we need to create a fabulous experience for you guys.
The question is who do we know believe? Bizarre or Bizarre?
Alright get ready for change even though I never actually had many readers, it’s still changing. Welcome to megascorcher.com, you’re place for gaming related news and much much more, like videos and the audios, also live stuff which we’ll reveal later. But I’m very excited about it and you guys should be also, force change now!
PGR4 had difficuly fitting on a DVD and to fix it Bizarre decided to remove the day/night cycles, which is sad. Of course this isn’t sad for Sony as they are now smelling their own farts over this. The floor is yours Dave Karraker:
We took a lot of heat at launch for including Blu-Ray in PS3. Now it looks like that investment is being justified.
I suspect Sony was just waiting for this, and when Blue Dragon finally comes out, they might go further then smelling their own farts.
I guess they must of gave Courtney Love a shit load of pearls or diamonds or something, but a rumor is making the internet rounds that the full album will be appearing on Harmonix’s music download for their game Rock Band. Although still not officially confirmed this one is pretty much in the bag as far as I’m concerned.
Some albums I’d like to see in Rock Band is Appetite for Destruction, Metallica, Van Halen, Infiltrate Rebuilt Destroy and some many more!
Imagine facing these guys with 3 other players by your side, well according to a recent annoucement made at a Bungie event in Amsterdam (interesting location :P), you’ll be able do to just that. One will control Master Chief, the other controlling The Arbiter and the reason I said the other earlier is because the last 2 will be rejects, as they will control Elites.
Either way this is exciting news that just gives me a boost of awesomeness towards playing this game which is still pretty soon when you think about it.
UPDATE: This info has been confirmed over at bungie.net, the only bummber is that you can’t join a co-op match in progress 🙁

Another thing to note is that this article has been pulled off of Kotaku, so take that for what it’s worth.
