Does Your 360 Have the New Heatsinks

So the new 360’s have new heatsinks which make your 360 less vunerable to the ring o death problem. Modding genuise Ben Heck has a very scientific and crazy way to find out. Put your 360 vertical but upside down, and grab a camera, point the lens down through the holes and snap a pic. If you can see your DVD drive, sorry you don’t have the new heatsinks, making your $500 console a ticking time bomb. If you can’t see your DVD drive, then congrats, you a winner hahaha!

Metallica’s One in a Rhythm Game?

If the list they release earlier today wasn’t even for you then this one should be enough to twist your nipples, Metallica’s One has been confirmed to be in Guitar Hero III. I dunno if I’m more excited that there’s Metallica songs in games now, or that Metallica is actually allowing them to do it now. Either way great grab by Activision, maybe their previous experience paid off after all.

Killer Song List for GHIII Updated

With everyones attention drifting away from Guitar Hero III and more towards Rock Band, Activision have been hard at work getting a killer song list, and in my opinion they’ve been doing a spectacular job as this seems to be the best GH list to date:

· Miss Murder (by AFI)
· Through Fire and Flames (by Dragonforce)
· Number of the Beast (by Iron Maiden)
· 3’s and 7’s (by Queens of the Stone Age)
· Suck My Kiss (by Red Hot Chili Peppers)
· Raining Blood (by Slayer)
· Reptillia (by The Strokes)
· Paranoid (as made famous by Black Sabbath)
· Cities on Flame (as made famous by Blue Oyster Cult)
· Mississippi Queen (as made famous by Mountain)
· La Grange (as made famous by ZZ Top)

One song that really got my attention is Paranoid, I’m pretty sure that song is actually on Rock Band as well. Can’t really complain about any song here except maybe AFI, but at least it’s not My Chemical Romance, PUKE!

GTA IV Delayed Till 08

Rockstar has delayed their highly anticipate new entry into the GTA series until 2008 at the earliest. What this means is all the kiddies wanting their parents to get it for them at christmas will now have to find someone else to get it for them, as they’re too young to go in themselves, maybe Uncle Steve will help you?

The blame was set on certain elements of developement was more time consuming then originaly thought like doing a 360 and PS3 version simultaneously. Adding additional financial stress to Take-Two was updated guidance, with Manhunt 2 for Wii, PS2 and PSP moved out of fiscal 2007 altogether, with no new release date provided.

Crysis Coming November 16th

EA today announced that Crysis will ship to stores on Friday, November 16th, exactly 1 month after GTA. “We’re thankful to our fans for their support and patience, and we’re excited to bring them Crysis this year,” said Crytek CEO and president Cevat Yerli in a statement. I can’t wait to see this game in action since FarCry was pretty crazy this one looks even better! Gonna be a busy Q4 of 2007.

Nothing’s Better then 100%…WHAT?

The HD-DVD player add-on for the 360 has dropped $20 (US only dammit!) plus it added 5 free HD-DVDs, so what do this all mean? Well Amazon reports that sales went up 1000% (and it reads 200% today so it might even be double the 1k!), simple concept to understand though the cheaper electronics are the more people will buy.

Canada Not Getting the COD4 Beta

Reports are flying that Gameplayer spoke with a representative from Activision Australia about Call of Duty 4’s beta will be US residents only, and the fanboys and going mad! The UK, Europe and us here in Canada will miss out. We expect Activision and Infinity Ward to confirm this anytime today, so stay tuned for an update

Skate: Owning the X-Games

This is crazy awesome, the game wasn’t looking bad, fancy menues, good looking graphics, I’m still a little sketchy on the gameplay and controls though. Either way this video makes the game look great in everyway, it looks like a TV broadcast, they even got Sal Masekela to be the announcer! Release date on this pupppy is September 12th, gonna get busy soon.

PGR4 does entirely fit of DVD

On a post made on July 29th at the Bizarre Creations board, they mentioned that DVD9 was a problem:

Whilst this wasn’t a problem for our dev team, it was a problem fitting all this data onto a single DVD. So we’ve worked around the problem by providing different lighting models per city.

And now they’ve changed they’re story:

DVD size is absolutely not a factor that we consider when designing our games… and PGR4 is no exception. DVD9 gives us more than we need to create a fabulous experience for you guys.

The question is who do we know believe? Bizarre or Bizarre?
